Bless Underprivileged Children With Baseball Gear

Bless underprivileged children with baseball gear! You can donate new and used baseball equipment to be used at our baseball camps/clinics serving children in West Africa, Dominican Republic, and other regions. We can also use other sports equipment such as flag football gear, soccer balls, and basketball balls. How to help:

Collect new or used baseball gear from your team, parents, neighborhood, etc.
Box up the gear for shipping (unless doing local drop off).
Weigh and measure each box.

Monetary donations are also helpful and will be used to cover shipping and distribution expenses.

2021 Updates: New Partnerships and Camp Venues

We are entering our 15th year of facilitating life-changing adventure camps for under served children across East Tennessee, and we have some exciting new developments for 2021! This summer, Breakaway will be upgrading our flagship residential camp with a new venue in the Smoky Mountains (Tellico Plains area). Additionally, we will continue to expand our “micro camp” experiences that began in 2020, with a new partnership in Fairhope, Alabama, providing an overnight camping experience for under served children in the lower Alabama region. A couple of new sports day camps are also in the making, with a prospective baseball camp in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a basketball camp with some of our ministry partners near Ocala, Florida. We appreciate your prayers and support as we enter into a new season of expansion and opportunities to empower more youth and children through communities of faith, hope, and love.

“Before the first year at camp, it was the lowest part of my life. I had lost my mother and sister in a tragic car wreck. I was being bullied at school and was planning to commit suicide when I received an invitation with a scholarship to attend Breakaway camp. I decided to put off the suicide plan and attend camp. It was the best decision I ever made. I gave my life to Jesus at camp and then Breakaway helped me get involved with a local church. My life still has ups and downs but I know now that God has me no matter what.”

“I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Breakaway Outreach. My biological father was always incarcerated and I was sent into foster care. I started camp as a tiny little camper and now I get to serve as camp nurse! I graduated from Lee University with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and I am currently working as a Nursery and Postpartum Nurse. Breakaway Outreach is exactly what it sounds like. It’s an outreach of family and community that all come together because we truly care about God’s children.”
