No Borders. No Limits. Every Child a Camp.

We believe that every child—no matter where they live or what hardships they face—deserves the chance to encounter Christ through the life-changing experience of camp.

In over 30 years of youth ministry, we have witnessed the irrefutable, lifelong impact of a unique Christian camp experience during the most formative years of a young person’s life. That is why we partner with communities from the margins of East Tennessee to underserved communities around the world to bring Christian camp experiences to every child, no matter the barriers they face.

Everyone needs a camp. Everyone needs someone in their corner. Camp isn’t just a place or an event—it’s where you find your people and become someone for others. It’s the community God places around you to walk with you, fight for you, and remind you who you are when you forget.

At Breakaway Outreach, we define “camp” in three ways:

A Safe Space for Encounter

Camp is an intentionally created environment where young people can hear and respond to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. It’s a place to breathe, belong, and ask honest questions. In a world full of noise and instability, camp becomes a space marked by safety, truth, and hope—often becoming the starting point of new beginnings in faith.

Every child deserves a real encounter with Jesus—no exceptions.

A People Who Fight for You

Camp is not just a place—it’s a people.

A tribe committed to walking with you, standing beside you, and fighting for your future. It’s a community that disciples, supports, and reminds you who you are in Christ—especially when you forget. In a world where many feel unseen or alone, this kind of community is essential.

Find your camp. Find your people.

A Community on Mission

Camp is a missional community—relentlessly devoted to the rescue mission of Jesus: seeking and saving the lost and making disciples where young people live. Especially in places that are unreached, forgotten, marginalized, overlooked, or underserved.

It goes beyond a moment and becomes a movement. Camp doesn’t stay in one place—it spreads, multiplies, and brings the hope of the gospel to the edges. No borders. No limits. It refuses to leave anyone behind.

Camp is a place to encounter Jesus.
Camp is a people who fight for you.
Camp is a missional community that goes after the one.

Everyone needs a camp.

Breakaway camps come in different shapes and sizes, but every one is designed to reach kids where they are and help them grow.

  • Resilience-building camps for youth facing hardship or trauma
  • Community-wide sports camps
  • VBS camps for orphaned children
  • Language and cultural immersion camps
  • Inclusive camps for children with disabilities and special needs
  • Film, creative arts, and storytelling camps
  • After-school enrichment camps
  • Support camps for children in domestic abuse shelters
  • Mobile camps serving underserved neighborhoods and juvenile centers
  • Specialized camps for third culture kids (TCKs), including military kids (MKs), expat and diplomatic families
  • Gospel-centered enrichment camps for migrant and refugee youth

Across every street and neighborhood, every culture and continent, we believe every child has a place at camp to discover God’s family and the joy of community.

Camps for Kids Facing Hardship

camps for disadvantaged children

Camp Elevate is our flagship program providing summer and winter camps for youth facing hardship. In a trauma-informed environment, kids discover safety, hope in Christ, and pathways for healing and growth. Almost every camper attends through scholarships funded by generous sponsors.

Youth Sports Camps

Sports bring people and communities together. Breakaway partners with local churches to share the Good News of Jesus through sports. Our “Sports Camp in a Box” equips leaders to host safe, fun camps that engage families, build relationships, and create meaningful pathways for discipleship.

VBS Camps for Orphans

Our VBS camps for orphaned children create joyful environments where kids experience God’s love through Bible stories, worship, games, and caring mentors. In places where many lack stable family support, these camps provide belonging, encouragement, and the hope of the gospel.

Mobile Camps

Our mobile camps bring the adventure of camp directly to kids in their own communities. Hosted at schools, underserved neighborhoods, community centers, transitional shelters, refugee programs, and juvenile centers, these camps create fun, faith-filled experiences that connect young people with the Gospel.

Language and Cultural Camps

Breakaway’s language and cultural immersion camps create fun environments where young people build language skills while forming friendships across cultures. Through games, sports, conversation, and shared experiences, campers grow in confidence while encountering the love of Christ.

Third Culture Kids

Specialized camps for third culture kids (TCKs), including military kids (MKs), expat and diplomatic families, provide spaces of belonging for youth who often live between cultures. Through shared experiences, friendships, and faith-centered activities, campers build resilience, identity, and lasting connections in Christ.

Camps Without Borders

We believe every child should have access to a gospel-centered camp experience. That’s why we work to establish sustainable camp ministries around the world. Today, through partnerships and training, Breakaway camp initiatives are active in 16+ countries, reaching young people with the hope of Jesus.

Camps for Refugee Children

Breakaway camps for refugee and migrant children provide safe environments where youth navigating displacement can find joy and belonging. Through games, mentoring, and clear gospel sharing, campers hear about Jesus and experience the hope and love found in Him.
