ABOUT CHATTANOOGA

Nicknamed the “Scenic City,” Chattanooga offers a combination of gorgeous natural beauty and warm southern hospitality. Nestled at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains with the Tennessee River running through it, Chattanooga’s landscape provides stunning views and endless opportunities for exploration and adventure. The city’s culture and history have been shaped by its Native American heritage and Appalachian roots, giving it a unique blend of tradition and resilience.

Chattanooga has received national praise for its riverfront redevelopment and affordable housing programs. Yet, even with this progress, poverty remains a reality for many families, and there are ongoing needs among both the people and the environment. Amid these challenges, a vibrant network of churches, ministries, and social service organizations work tirelessly to bring hope and transformation to the community.

Breakaway Outreach is privileged to be part of this story—mobilizing mission teams to serve in tangible ways that make a difference and reflect the love of Christ.
