    Partner With Us to Change Lives in 2022

    Here are some ways that individuals, churches, groups,  or businesses can partner with Breakaway Outreach to share hope, change lives, and strengthen communities in 2022:

    PRAY for the young people, families, and communities we serve.

    SUPPORT Breakaway Outreach with your annual missions giving (monthly or one-time gift).

    INVITE us to share a ministry presentation at your church, Sunday School class, organization, or small group.

    VOLUNTEER to serve at our summer camps or retreats for at-risk children (East Tennessee & Lower Alabama), to chaperone adventure trips (KidVenturez), or to help with an afterschool program.

    MENTOR a youth by investing 2-3 hours a month.

    GO/SEND a short term mission team (or individuals) to serve at one of our international sports camps (Italy, Germany, Poland, West Africa, Dominican Republic, Ireland).

    GOLF at our annual Champions Fore Kids golf tournament in Chattanooga. Register a foursome, sponsor a hole sign, or become a “DREAM TEAM” golf partner.

    DONATE baseball gear and sports equipment for global sports ministries and less privileged children.

    PACK Christmas shoebox gifts (November and December) for children affected by parental incarceration, domestic violence, transitional living, and economic hardship.

    How You Can Empower Less Fortunate Children This Summer

    VOLUNTEER/SERVE: Our summer camp outreach is a great “Mission Trip” option for individuals, entire families, or church groups with a heart to serve. Fill out our volunteer application form to begin the process. Feel free to contact us for more details about groups serving. Can’t volunteer but want to help sponsor a disadvantaged child to experience camp? Visit our Camp Page to learn more about our mission.

    We invite you to come out to the 2020 Global Impact Celebration on March 13-15, at Ooltewah UMC . The weekend will be packed with activities to help you engage in missions. Be sure to stop by the Breakaway Outreach booth to learn more about how the Breakaway global sports ministry and international camps are impacting children and strengthening communities around the world, and how you can get involved. Jimmy will also be speaking at the men’s breakfast on Sunday morning, 8am. Would love to see you there!

    Where Will You Make a Difference in 2020?

    Where will you make a difference in 2020? Your impact can be life changing for this generation—and the next—by serving at a Breakaway youth camp this spring/summer. We have missions opportunities for individuals and teams to serve at our day camps in the Chattanooga area, our regional summer camp for at-risk kids near Greenville (Tennessee), and multiple overseas sports camps (Italy, Germany, Northern Ireland, Dominican Republic). Join us in empowering kids through communities of faith, hope, and love. Serve opportunities include being a camp counselor, leading small group Bible discussions, coaching sports, facilitating recreational activities, helping kids with crafts (VBS lessons), leading worship, preparing and serving meals, and much more.     Volunteer to Serve

    There are many serve and volunteer opportunities with Breakaway:

    • Volunteer with after school clubs or neighborhood outreach
    • Juvenile detention center ministry
    • Be a summer camp counselor or KidVenturez team leader
    • Adopt a prisoners’ family for holidays and birthday giving
    • Mentor at-risk children and youth
    • Bring your church group for a serve project
    • Go on a short term mission trip
    • Collect food items for our Snack Pack program

It is a way to personally experience ministries of compassion, justice, and evangelism in a cross-cultural setting. Mission experiences not only bless others, but they are one of the most powerful catalysts for your own spiritual growth.

    Urban Mission Projects

    Is your youth group, college group, or church small group looking for a meaningful mission opportunity? Breakaway provides serve opportunities for teams to experience mission work in cross-cultural and urban settings. We will arrange housing and work sites for your group and you will have the opportunity to experience meaningful Christ-centered mission work in the most needy areas of our city.

    Internships

    Breakaway Outreach is a great fit for student internships. Our organization works with college and university students who would like to complete an internship, practicum, or field education experience for their academic focus. We have worked with a variety of students to fulfill their academic requirements in a supportive and exciting ministry environment. Internships typically range from 3 to 12 months. We are flexible in developing your internship.
