2021 Updates: New Summer Camp Venue

Summer Camp Venue: Smoky Mountains

We are entering our 15th year of facilitating life-changing adventure camps for under served children across East Tennessee, and we have some exciting new developments for 2021!

This summer, Breakaway will be facilitating our flagship residential camp at a new venue in the Smoky Mountains (Tellico Plains area). Additionally, we will continue to expand our “micro camp” experiences that began in 2020, with a new partnership in Fairhope, Alabama, providing an overnight camping experience for underserved children in the lower Alabama region.

A couple of new sports day camps are also in the making, with a prospective baseball camp in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a basketball camp with some of our ministry partners near Ocala, Florida. We appreciate your prayers and support as we enter into a new season of reaching kids for Christ and opportunities to empower more youth and children through communities of faith, hope, and love.

I was being bullied at school and was planning to commit suicide when I received an invitation with a scholarship to attend Breakaway camp. I decided to put off the suicide plan and attend camp. My life still has ups and downs but I know now that God has me no matter what.”
