It's All Good In The Hood VBS KitAfter twenty+ years of ministering to at-risk youth, children of prisoners, and inner city kids, we tailored this VBS curriculum as a resource to minister to disadvantaged children and kids in urban, under-served communities. The discussion formats take into consideration various factors associated with children at-risk. The material can easily be used for summer camps, backyard Bible clubs, inner city neighborhood outreach, or your church’s Vacation Bible School. The theme centers around Romans 8:28. The 2013 Dodging Delinquency Dodgeball Event will benefit Chattanooga area at-risk youth. This is your chance to stake your claim to dodgeball glory! Form your team and go head to head against others as you battle your way to the top. The event will be on May 4th, at the Brainerd United Methodist Church. Two children became a part of our Breakaway family last year when a relative signed them up for our KidVenturez program for prisoners' kids. A couple of months ago, their father was murdered one week after being released from a state prison. The road ahead will be difficult to navigate for the seven and eight year olds, but we also know the power of prayer and that having our partners interceding for them will open up many windows of hope and doors for enrichment.
