Operation Christmas Hope
During the holiday season, Breakaway ministers to incarcerated kids and their families through Operation Christmas Hope. Christmastime is an opportune time to share the love of Jesus Christ with needy children and their loved ones through a juvenile detention center outreach, and it's a great time for your church to reach out to hurting families in your community!
Breakaway provides volunteer opportunities for local churches, Sunday School classes, youth groups, Bible college students, and many other volunteers to adopt a juvenile facility and/or a family of an incarcerated youth with a holiday outreach program.
Volunteer opportunities include filling gift baskets, Christmas caroling, performing skits, showing media presentations, visiting families, and/or sponsoring families to receive gift “Hope Packages” by making a donation.
Youths in juvenile detention centers sign up to have these "Hope Packages” sent to their families which include small gifts for their siblings, Christian CDs, Bibles, Gospel tracts, comic books, etc.
Your church can participate by adopting a youth facility in your area, or by sponsoring a holiday outreach in a youth facility elsewhere.
